But, when we relinquish control over our own lives and our own destinies to someone else, we face a different kind of fear.

This is a fear that cannot be removed by any means. It is a fear that comes from a loss of control. The only thing that can get us past that fear is putting ourselves in a situation where we have no control whatsoever.
